Why build a website on coping and loss?Originally, I had no intention of taking my website this far. I just wanted to build a little piece of immortality for my daughter. She had recently died and I felt the desire to let everyone know my pain. What better way to share it with the world, than the world wide web? After I put up the first little website, I started getting responses. People were telling me how wonderful it was that I had made such a beautiful memorial for Rachel, my daughter. I also had many responses of honest shock from parents who (like me) did not know that your child could overdose on children's vitamins. I soon found it to be a good medium for getting the message out about children's vitamins. Then I decided not to stop there. That is why I decided to build this website dedicated to loss. Every loss is hard to handle. I know that we do not handle many changes well, but if we all share our experiences, it may become easier to handle. Change and loss are all a part of life. I hope that this will become a place, where people can go to share their coping mechanisms with others. I believe that together, all of us can make it through anything that happens. |
